Frequently Asked Questions

What is the benefit of the online double-conversion architecture in the AoKu AKH Series?
Unlike backup or line-interactive systems, our online double-conversion topology continuously runs input AC power through a rectifier and inverter cycle. This completely isolates your connected equipment from utility grid spikes, noise, and brownouts, delivering a perfectly regulated pure sine wave output with a 0ms transfer time during utility power failures.
What is the difference between standard Tower models and models with the "-L" suffix?
Standard tower models (e.g., AKH-1K) contain built-in high-quality sealed lead-acid batteries, providing an all-in-one immediate backup solution. Models with the "-L" suffix (e.g., AKH-1K-L) do not include internal batteries but feature heavy-duty charging boards (up to 12A adjustable) designed to connect to custom external battery banks for extended runtimes.
Can the battery quantity be adjusted on the AKH 6KVA and 10KVA Tower systems?
Yes. Using the on-board Expert Mode (EP setting) on the smart LCD screen, engineers can adjust the battery quantity parameters between 16, 18, or 20 batteries (default is 16 pieces). This ensures perfect voltage mapping and charging current control when integrating various external battery systems.
How does the Generator Mode (GEN Mode) function under harsh frequency variations?
Unstable portable generators often exhibit wide frequency fluctuations. By turning Generator Mode "ON" via the LCD function menu, the UPS widens its acceptable input frequency window from ±6Hz to ±10Hz. This prevents frequent, unnecessary switching to battery mode, conserving battery life while delivering clean power.
What are the integrated safety communications and shutdown ports?
Every AKH unit is equipped with a dedicated Emergency Power Off (EPO) port, enabling immediate shutoff of the UPS inverter in case of facility emergencies. It also includes RS232 and USB communication interfaces, alongside an optional Intelligent Slot designed for SNMP or Dry Contact cards to support automated network administration.
How does the ECO (Economic Operation Mode) improve operational efficiency?
In ECO mode, the UPS bypasses the double-conversion cycle and powers the load directly through the utility grid when input power is exceptionally stable. This maximizes efficiency up to 95.5%. In the event of grid instability, the UPS immediately switches back to inverter mode in under 2ms, protecting your critical operations.
